Addicted

I have this terrible addiction... and I'm not talking about chocolate, nor Paris, shoes or travelling. This is an addiction I can't quite seem to manage (much like chocolate).

The thing is, even if by chance I do happen to hear the 5th alarm go off on time, I always seem to take longer and longer to get ready every morning, and I wind up being unnecessarily late. Don't ask me why, it just happens that way. And "oh, I'm late again" and I hail a taxi on my way out.

Every freakin' morning by now...

And of course it's ridiculous! And I'm totally cheap on other things, but a taxi is never money wasted. There's something in being driven to work, having all that back seat space to yourself. Not having to push your way around a  busy train station. Not holding onto your purse like a life vest, riding with the train's doors one centimetre from your  face.... I know it's ridiculous, and it needs to stop now!!

Still... there's nothing like a good conversation with a nice taxi driver!

Gorgeousness

Is she gorgeous, or is she gorgeous??

Sorry about the short absence... but on Monday I fell asleeep with my clothes on, only to wake up at 3.45am and see all my blog finds scattered on the screen, and don't even get me started with workaholic Tuesday!!!

Pure brilliance

If this doesn't show the true meaning of a wedding celebration, I don't know what does. I'm absolutely loving this vid, and I even shed a few tears. It's absolutely brilliant! And it totally pumped me up for the upcoming summer weddings!!!

Don't you just love it and wish you could break free of all the usual wedding protocol? ;)

PS: If you make me bride's maid I would totally wear sunglasses for you!!

Totally loving it

I'm trying

I'm loving everything about this ensamble!! Too bad it's too cold right now to give it a try, but I seriously love it! A little bit of pink here, some nude there and wrap it all up in black.

Also, I'm adding Scanning's tumbr blog to my "blogs to love" 'cause she always has the perfect photo, her finds are amazing! and I'm sure you'll love it too.

Have a great weekend! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snooooow!!!

Why?

Why, if I went to sleep an hour and a half earlier than usual, did I keep on sleeping?

Why, if I have five alarms strategicalky scheduled at different times for me to get up ontime, I heard none?

Why did I overslept on the day I had important stuff to do before going to the office?

Why did I have to leave the house in such a rush I couldn't even see the weather forecast?

Why did I, on the coldest day of the year, leave the house on ballerina flats and no socks??

And why on Earth is it snowing all over Argentina, exept in Buenos Aires?!?!

On being freinds

July 20th is Friends' Day in Argentina, and of course I realise that you don't celebrate friendship, the whole of it, just on one day, but it does give you a chance to get out of your daily routine (no matter if it's Monday, you're tyred, you've got exams, you crashed your car, your moving into a new house or you're psychosomatic about Influenza A) and express, share and care for each other on this day, as you would any other day. But at least like this, with an almost National Day dedicated to friendship, you get to celebrate and gather your bestest friends around you no matter what's going on in the world.

I don't know about you, but I spent it the best way you could: around a big ravioli plate, lots of chocoalte for desert, and all the stories that happened to us from our last reunion (last Friday night)!

Yay to Friends' Day!!

Chez Pauline

So found this cute little place she took me to yesterday for tea, and let me tell you I just adored it! Chez Pauline in Recoleta, is a maison de thé where you can walk in and buy some really exquisite teas and pastries or sit down at one of their little tables and enjoy a pot of tea and a pain au chocotate, brioche or the day's cakes with a friend.

I tried the Bouquet de Provence tea: black Ceilán tea with lavender flowers from Provence and sliced almonds (to die for!). Unfortunately they didn't have any macarons at the time, I guess that's what happens when you show up for tea time at 7pm... so we settled for home made toast with butter and countryside honey instead.

I loved the look, and if you buy a can of tea, you can get discounts on refills later on, no need to buy the can again afterwards! I deffinitely need to get back for one and give those macarons a try...

Have a great weekend!

25th!

I realise I can't keep appearing and disapearing like that... but after the 2 working days week I had, and this Monday being my birthday and all I've been running everywhere and just now got the time to sit down and type.

I had a great 25th birthday! I got lots of calls from far far away, my friends came over, and I got the coolest presents: a day at a spa!, gorgeous clothes, $, and a cool new handbag. But I wanted to post about a particular present that flew in all the way from London, UK, and when I opended it I actually squealed out loud!!

Judge for yourselves:

I can't wait until I get to London!!!!

*When I showed this postcard to my grandma she just looked at it and said that she "can't believe what things are coming to... a prince shouldn't dress like this... it looks like a picture of a movie star rather than the heir to the British throne". LOL

Bursting into song

A friend shared this with me today and I just had to show you too. I know it's nothing new by now, a large group of people suddenly bursting into dance and having people "out of nowhere" start daancing along to one song, but it still fascinates me. Specially looking on stander by's expressions going from shock into full smiles. And I admit it, if this happened to me any random day at Retiro station I would most deffinitely join the crowd and start singing and dancing along, I mean, it's The soud of music!!

Click play and enjoy! It gets particularly freakish right in the middle. I dare you not to start singing along in your head while you're sitting at the office!!

Thanx Sof!!

By general request...

And so I'm back
from outter space
I just walked in to find you here
with that smile upon your face!

Yes, I'm back, cause the blog had to be back. It really isn't its fault that I'm working like crazy at the office, and life and whatnot, so it's back! (Although I might start resenting you reader in the short term, when my boss' looking over my shoulder trying to figure out what I'm so intently typing about).

If it makes you feel any better, I haven't changed my Facebook photo since January, so there! Oh!! And before I forget... I'm going to Paris this *Europen* summer!! Could things get any better right now?

PS: It feels good to be back!
