Le boudoir

I'm very very sleepy, and that might, in part, be the reason why I'm loving these rooms' pictures so much!! I just had to share. Wish I had a bit of time to fix up my room the way I'd love it. That way I could kiss away my trerrible sleeping habits!!

Bonne nuit!

Walls gone wild*

I'm loving this in The City Sage: a whole post on wallpaper! I've been seeing everywhere lately how wallpapering has started to become more of a thing to keep in mind when decorating a space, rather than just choosing a strong color for your walls. I usually don't fall all over the place for heavely colored wallpaper, I'm more into what I like to call "Scandinavia meets La Provence", but I'm LOVING these two looks, specially the wallpaper in the bedroom! Gemma Comas does unbelievable interior photography!

I generaly post things I would love to try out or own, but in the case of this dining room I am absoulutely mystified by Starck's Louis Ghost chairs. I love the concept: a beautifully dressed table in a room filled with detail and color, you just can't have the chairs clashing the whole thing, now can you? By the way, I love the way the colors on the photo match perfectly my blog's color palette!!

Movie apartments #1 {Before the Sunset}

I absolutely adore certain movie homes, and I'm going to start sharing them here. For the first post on Movie Apartments I'm going to start with Celine's apartment in Before Sunset. I seriously can't find a single thing in this movie that I don't love. From the amazig characters (performed by Julie Delpy and Ethan Hawk), their past, the untold feelings and twisted emotions through nine years, the amazing Parisian shots, the uttery real dialogues... EVERYHING!

And Celine's apartment is a perfect way to end this movie; the photo above is is a still shot of the last scene... Her her messy, cool loft, filled with hundreds photos and polaroids is in one of those Parisian apartments I love so much, where you have to go in a little pedestrian street and you appear in a courtyard and then there's like a hidden patio with antique bikes and all... *sight* I need to get myself back to Paris!! ASAP!

(A coffee and lemonade, please.)
Jesse: (Sighs.) God, I love this cafe. I wish they had places like this in the U.S.
Céline: Yeah, I missed cafes when I was living over there. I mean, I find a few places I really liked, but there was...
Jesse: (Interrupting.) You...You were living in the U.S.?
Céline: Yes, from, uh, '96 to '99. I was studying at NYU.
Jesse: OH, GOD (looks down in disgust) don't tell me that, Céline! (Covers his eyes.)
Céline: What?!
Jesse: No, it's just...Nothing, I mean I...
Céline: What?
Jesse: I've been living in New York since '98. You know, we were there at the same time!
Céline: In New York?
Jesse: Yeah.
Céline: Ah, that's weird. It actually crossed my mind a few times that I might run into you, but...The odds are so slim, right? So...I didn't even know what city you were living in. Weren't you somewhere in Texas? You were in Texas.
Jesse: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Definitely, I just...I was for a long time, I just...You know, wanted to try New York.
Céline: (Softly.) Wow.

A modern vintage twist

Sofía totally saved me a few weeks ago from a super boring 400km drive with no music by lending me her iPod and big iSpeakers and I've become quite fond of the little device :) But when I saw this ceramic phonophone my heart just melted! Is this sweet or is this sweet??? Needless to say this would look good anywhere, and it uses no power!!

The princess and the pea

I have always thought that the Princess and the pea tale by Hans Christian Andersen was a bit weird, and I've been torn between two thoughts even as I was really little. On one side... how much of a snob must this princess have been to notice the little pea placed by the queen under several layers of mattresses??

So when I came accross this Motorolla ad on Vogue España I just burst out laughing. The phrase says "If you have noticed the pea, we have something for you". And there's an actual (plastic) pea stuck to the magazine!!!!!!!

On the other hand... a bed full of mattresses????? I could totally dig that!!

Yo quiero!!

I'm loving this apartment that I found via Tinyk, photographed by Jason Lucas. It's perfect! I want to live in it!! The only problem I find is... how do you convince a guy of moving into it? Any ideas?? :)

Alguna idea?? :)
