It ain't over 'till it's over

Apparently all the Spring celebrations last week meant nothing to the Universe, as it's been unbelievably cold ever since! And I refuse to post cute little summery dresses until the weather decides to act accordingly.

In the mean while, I'm loving this gorgeous grey coat, found by The Sartorialist. I know, I know, it looks dangerously similar to my grey coat, but I'm loving those ruffles!!

Totally loving it

I'm trying

I'm loving everything about this ensamble!! Too bad it's too cold right now to give it a try, but I seriously love it! A little bit of pink here, some nude there and wrap it all up in black.

Also, I'm adding Scanning's tumbr blog to my "blogs to love" 'cause she always has the perfect photo, her finds are amazing! and I'm sure you'll love it too.

Have a great weekend! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snooooow!!!

C'est ça que j'adore

Since I was a little girl I have always secretly wanted a dress like this, with a full skirt to bounce around me everytime I danced, or walked or twirled. Besides, I dare you to walk down the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles, and look at yourself in one of the mirrors and not pretend that you have one!

Do you think this Dior gown is too much for a wedding?? I love it!! Oh! And in case the model's face looks kind of familiar to you but you can't quite place her... it's Emily Blunt: Emily from The Devil wears Prada!

The ladder of success

When you walk up the ladder of success,
don't let the boys look up your dress.

A childhood friend of mine wrote this in my sign book (the 1996 paper version of Facebook) and I it's the first thing that came to mind when I saw this pic. This, and a little undercover promotion that has me extatic, anxious and happy all at once :)

Real beauty

What a weekend!! I've got some nice things to share, but today I'm running as usual so I'll get to the gossip later... but I wanted to share this photo I found on the webs. Is Lauren Hutton totally cool or is she totally cool?? I loooove that necklace! And her mature-sheepish-carless attitude which totally reminds me of Dove's "Real beauty" concept.

I might get handy this weekend and give that necklace a try!

Have a lovely weekend!

The weekend is here!!What are you up to?? I have nooo idea. I wanna do something fun but I haven't thought of "what" just yet. I'm open for ideas! I might sneak to the new art gallery that opened right accross from my office, here in Puerto Madero. It's supposed to be really cool, at least from an architectural point of view.

It looks like it's gonna be gorgeous, something outside is a must to enjoy the last days of summer. And as a sneak peak of the upcoming winter: I have to have that coat, that dress and those shoes. Seriously!

Bon weekend!

Fashion emergency

Arghhhh! Someone'd better come along with me to do some serious shopping this weekend 'cause I hate coming back home empty handed!!! Seriously, make me some room during your weekend because I can't seem to find anything by myself, everything is too expensive and too blah!! What's going on?? And it's not even that I fell in love with something I can't afford. I just don't like a thing, period! Where is the style?????

Arghhhh!

The "smart" comes with the glasses

So, does anyone else relate to the fact that wearing glasses turns you instantly into a really smart person? Don't you just love it?? It's come in handy more than a couple of times now, and I've always been fascinated at how this disability has turned into a fashion statement (much to my advantage).

These past few weeks I've been seeing all over the net these gorgeous, big, nerdy glasses that I think are absoultely sexy. I've come to terms with the fact that I just can't pull this style off.... one thing is looking sexy smart, another is passing off as an old, grumpy librarian from another era... so when I got my new glasses I had to keep that in mind, and I LOOOOOOVE them! I finally got myself some black trims and I can't wait until I get them back from the lab!!

Playing dress-up

I'm LOVING this!! The instant I saw the new Ralph Lauren collection at Vogue Paris I fell for it! I obviously don't see myself in such an outfit... but as soon as I saw these pictures, they reminded me of my mum's old magazines. The ones that I would browse through when I was little that had those terriffic femme fatales wearing dresses in dark colors, with big shoulder pads and skirts all the way up to the waist. I'm soooo loving these! And it comes to show you that everything comes back. Everything.

Me ENCANTA!!

As many of you know by now, my sister and my cousin have started Fiona la Mona, a little shop where they try to gather all that's "in", from hand made hair accessories (designed and made by themselves), to all sorts of great Indian scarves, wooden bracelets and cool necklaces. I just wanted to post a few of the things I liked the most (and some guilty indulgences). If you wanna visit them, hear what's new or ask for specially hand made stuff, just reach them at their blog.

Vintage women of today...

Yes, I realise it'd be completely impossible to be the self-fulfilled, independent, modern women we are today if we wore these everyday to the office... but is it me or wouldn't it be absolutely lovely, just for one day... Please??

Take the weekend to think it over! Have a great time!!

Anyone?

Tómense el fin de semana para pensarlo! Pásenla genial!!

Desiderata - Invierno 08

Considering the weather (spring hasn't really started here yet) I wanted to post Desiderata's last winter campaign wich I absolutely loved. The pictures above:
1st: One of the adverts that came up in magazines
2, 3 & 4: The making of the catalog.

Of course I'm probably biased as they did the photo shoot in Paris, and there's hardly anything Parisian that I don't like! The mood, the colors, the settings, j'aime tout! Almost all the clothes where so my style... too bad I couldn't indulge into every little outfit...

Af all the photos they used for advertising, I liked the one on top the most. So relaxed, depicting Parisian life with the cloudy sky and evertything in a shade of pink... it's a cliché, I know, but I love how they portrayed La vie en rose.
