Follow me!

Don't you miss real letters? I do, all the time. I used to write a lot, I even had my own box with stationary to choose and write on whatever I felt like and a separate box with all the letters I received monthly. I wonder what happened to that. I haven't revcieved a real letter in ages. I mean, one of those where people actually sat down at a table and filled a blank page with their tidy, messy, round, lovely, illegible, blue or black letters, you could tell how the other person was feeling just by reading their hand writing.

Well, unfortunately I can't offer you that through this blog (although if you're reading you provably know how to reach me, and I promise to write back if I do receive a real letter - even if scanned and sent via e-mail), in the meantime, I'm introducing Blogger Newsfeed: a handy little tool that'll keep you updated everytime I publish a new post. It's the next best thing to getting a letter from me, right? ;)

All of you techies can subscrite to Journal de petits détails with the new links at the bottom of the right hand column.

Therapy

Lately I've been feeling like I'm in a whirpool of things coming at me, and I need to slow down and get back in touch with the things I love. This blog, for example. Being out, reading a good book, feel like I don't have to run to get everywhere (like I've been running for the past 3 months). And yesterday, in the wee hours of the night, reading What Possessed Me, and A cup of Jo and all the things I've been missing out I realised that I want to start now. So here I am, back blogging, back reading the blogs I looove and thinking of all the cool, cute little details I want to start posting about.

I've got a question for you though, how bad would it be that I don't translate to Spanish any more? Send your comments, as I really want to know how you feel about that! Oh! And I loved reading at 3am last night all the encuragement comments!! Thaaaaaanx!!

I'm back, and hopefully for good.

Colorstrology

Wouldn't it be great to surround yourself with a color that you know would totally lift your mood?? I don't know if this is entirely possible, but Michele Bernhardt has come up with a Colorstrology chart for Pantone. This is how it works: you click on your birth month and it comes up with a primary combination of colors, and then you click on your birth date and you get a more detailed and personal analysis. Hope you like it! In my case my mug is the color of my month and the upholstery on the walls from my desk at work are the color of my day.

July
The color for the month of July is Coral Blush. Gentle and soothing, Coral Blush inspires love and receptivity. The Moon rules the skies during the month of July and just as the Moon goes through its phases and cycles, so do we. The silver in this color signifies the value of change, reflection and receptivity and the pink represents love and tenderness. Together, we have a color that can be used in times of change or transition and as an aid for emotional healing. Wearing, meditating or surrounding yourself with Coral Blush helps open the heart and the spirit.

13
Many people born on this day are enterprising and want to build their careers. Practical and creative, you have the ability to start something from scratch and make it grow. You are independent but also enjoy being in a relationship. Try not to get too serious or let your emotions weight too heavy on your heart. Your personal color helps ease any momentary concerns that you may be carrying. Wearing, meditating or surrounding youself with Seafoam Green encourages action, joy and participation with others.

A modern vintage twist

Sofía totally saved me a few weeks ago from a super boring 400km drive with no music by lending me her iPod and big iSpeakers and I've become quite fond of the little device :) But when I saw this ceramic phonophone my heart just melted! Is this sweet or is this sweet??? Needless to say this would look good anywhere, and it uses no power!!

When life gives you lemons...

We don't always get what we want, and we don't always even know what we want... but if you didn't get what you thought you wanted, then girl: carpe diem and screw it all!!!!!! I'll be there soon enough with a bucket of Freddo's and some cinéma française to make it all better. We can even add some Chinese take out if you feel like it! :)

Fiona la Mona

As many of you know by now, my sister and my cousin have started Fiona la Mona, a little shop where they try to gather all that's "in", from hand made hair accessories (designed and made by themselves), to all sorts of great Indian scarves, wooden bracelets and cool necklaces. I just wanted to post a few of the things I liked the most (and some guilty indulgences). If you wanna visit them, hear what's new or ask for specially hand made stuff, just reach them at their blog.

Absolutely confused!

So this Sunday, in Argentina, we started our summer Daylight Saving Time, and I'm absolutely confused. I really don't get why, after all it's just an hour difference... but I just can't seem to adjust. The good thing about this all is that when I leave the office (at 7pm!!) it will be bright and sunny, so it doesn't feel like I spent the ENTIRE day there, and I hope I'll be a lot more active to do other things (like going jogging!). It's so depressing when you leave the office and it's already dark!

Has this affected you too?? It seems to have gotten my entire family as well. I hope that tomorrow when my alarm goes off at 8am I can manage to get out of bed... even if my brain is screaming "it's 7 in the f***ing morning!!".

One thing a day...

When two different doctors tell you you're stressed, girl, you gotta believe them!! I found this pad via Swissmiss that I absolutely need!! Haha... better do one thing right a day than 10 half way... no? Also, I'm gonna try to get in bed before 1am, starting today. For real!
